UniFi Network 10.1.89 security update
Hey guys Reilly here!
We pushed this security update immediately in order to secure all of our customers servers.
This was a difficult decision which had some tradeoffs, the main one being that unifi.ui.com remote access isn’t working on the new version currently.
I take it very seriously and if the security risk was lower we might not have pushed right away, but the risk of this particular security issue was too high to delay the update.
It’s a tricky balance between security and stability but given the risk/reward I think we made the right decision for our customers.
We are working to fix these remaining issues as soon as possible.
Remote Access bug
There is a bug in this new version which caused unifi.ui.com connections to stop working.
Even though the devices show offline in the Site Manager dashboard, you can still access your sites directly using your HostiFi URL. You can find that at https://app.hostifi.com. If you aren't able to log in directly you can reset your password for UniFi at https://app.hostifi.com under the server > Tools.
UniFi OS pop-up
The new UniFi Network version is showing a pop-up to download UniFi OS Server. There is no action needed. You can ignore this pop-up. We are working on migrating all customers to UniFi OS Server in the next few weeks.
iOS/Android app
If you were using your UI account to connect to your HostiFi server you’ll need to switch to using a direct connection to the server. We have a guide below for that and our support team is available to assist.
